Baseball Corridor of Famer Ryne Sandberg revealed Monday he has been identified with metastatic prostate most cancers.
Sandberg made the revelation on Instagram and included photos of himself and his household.

“To my Chicago Cubs, Nationwide Baseball Corridor of Fame, prolonged Baseball Household, town of Chicago, and all my loyal followers, I need to share some private information,” Sandberg’s assertion reads. “Final week, I discovered that I’ve been identified with metastatic prostate most cancers.”
“I’ve begun remedy, and I’m surrounded by my loving spouse Margaret, our extremely supportive household, one of the best medical care workforce, and our expensive pals. We’ll proceed to be constructive, robust and struggle to beat this. Please maintain us in your ideas and prayers throughout this troublesome time for me and my household.”

Sandberg was a Nationwide League MVP, 10-time All-Star and nine-time Gold Glove Award winner as a second baseman. He received the MVP in 1984 with a .314 batting common and 19 residence runs. He led the majors with 19 triples. It was additionally the primary time he made the All-Star Sport.
For his profession, Sandberg hit .285 with a .795 OPS and 282 residence runs.
